Mr. Swoboda

Hello! I'm Frank Swoboda and it is my privilege to teach at English High School, the oldest public high school in the United States. I am a proud product of public schools myself, from kindergarten through graduate school (UMass Boston/Boston Teacher Residency), and I strongly believe that a high-quality public education is a right for all individuals and the most important foundation for the strength of our society and our democracy.

In addition to teaching, I enjoy going on all kinds of adventures with EHS students. Through our Sapere Aude ("Dare to Know") program, students have researched, planned, fundraised for, and enjoyed trips to the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, and Vatican City. And our Outdoor Club has taken students on urban hikes around Boston and to the top of mountains in New Hampshire. Got ideas for our next trip, or a place you've always wanted to go?
